Agricola Ludus, wines homemade in Tuscany
Agricola Ludus, a young company that gazes at the future respectful of Nature and Earth, has placed the identity of wine and territory at the core of its philosophy, along with enological Tuscan culture and family traditions.
Wines preserve their style, year after year, but change their soul according to the rays of sun that pervade grapes, to the fogs that embrace the vineyards, to the dew that wets the land, to the hearbs and flowers that grow in the vines, and to the typical Tuscan flora that enshirnes the hills.
They represent a unique experience, create emotions and tell the many faces of great vocational land where Agricola Ludus is set.

Agricola Ludus makes organic wines on the hills of Gambassi Terme, Montaione and Certaldo, a unique terrorir featuring silicum, along with tuff and clay. The typical scents of Tuscan countryside, finally, make our wines bouquet even richer.
The Founder
Luciano Alberto
Love for earth and agriculture are the legacy intherited by Grandfather Sistino, sharecropper born at the end of the 19th century, who Luciano used to follow on the fields and from who he has adquired many ancient and traditional cultivation techniques. Back in 1985 he started complementing his textile business, with the cultivation of land, purchasing the first plots. When in 2015 he started the vines cultivation in the Hunting and Fauna Reserve, shortly after becoming grandfather to little Ludovica, he decided that with that love he would cultivate those lands, sharing with her the same love and values inherited by his grandfather Sistino. Thus the choice of selecting sustainable techniques.

Leading the development of Agricola Ludus is Laura, mother of Ludovica, in love with her family and her job, she carries on with passion and determination a dream made of love and respect for Earth.
Link between the Founder and the future of the Organic Farm with Ludovica’s new generation, Laura Carrera is the heart and the brain of nowadays’ Agricola Ludus, through which she aims at preparing a future of eco-sustainable values for her daughter and following generations. The instict behind Laura Carrera’s work is that of developing unique elements in her Organic Farm, without losing sight of sustainability, both environment-wise and in terms of respect of humans’ work. So hers, is not only a pragmatic point of view of the vineyards. It is strongly linked to respect of vines and life.

Agricola Ludus, the company
Located in the heart of Tuscany, in the productive area of Chianti, Agricola Ludus was born in 2015 by the will of Luciano Squilloni, who decided to plant vines with organic techniques in a Hunting and Fauna Reserve, more than 500-acres-wide. The planting of vines happened the same year, beloved granddaughter Ludovica was born. The choice of the vines is symbolic, tribute to the new life who’s just joined the family, and to Life-Vita in Italian, who shares the same root as Vine-Vite in Italian.
The choice of naming it Agricola Ludus pays tribute to little Ludovica and to idea of living the love for the land, with the same unconditional love and joy that a child holds for their mother. Main values we chose, to cultivate our land, are those of care and protection of enviroment and Life. Production today stretches on 12 acres, with the aim of reaching 20 acres of certified organic productive area by 2025 and to carry on with the tradition of high protection of this resereve, which has been named Hungting and Fuana Reserve for over 200 years.
